The San Francisco Giants host the Los Angeles Dodgers in this National League West showdown between powerhouse rivals competing for the top spot in the National League.
Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants Betting Pick
The battle for NL West supremacy continues on Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers meet the San Francisco Giants for the final game of their three-game series. They have split the first two games of the series.
The Dodgers and Giants head into Sunday evening with the same record at 86-50, tied with the Rays for the best record in MLB. They have a 14 game lead over the Padres in the West, and whichever doesn’t win, the West has the top NL Wild Card spot locked up. They have a 13.5 game lead in the Wild Card.
Los Angeles has been red-hot since acquiring Max Scherzer and Trea Turner at the deadline, which is not surprising considering the depth and talent they have. The Giants have been the definition of a “total team” this season. They lead the division without having a single player over 21 home runs on the season.
The Dodgers are favored by 1.5 on the run line in a road game in this matchup. For more odds and MLB bets to make, head over to Online Betting Sports for the latest odds and action.

Los Angeles Dodgers Preview
Walker Buehler is on the mound for the Los Angeles on Sunday evening, and Buehler has been nothing short of fantastic this season. He’s one of MLB’s top candidates for the Cy YOund with a 13-2 record, 2.05 ERA, and he leads the league in quality starts.
Buehler hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs since May 11 and has only more than three twice this year. The Dodgers have won 5 out of his last six starts.
Since acquiring Trea Turner at the trade deadline, he has slashed a remarkable .317/.366/.495 with an OPS of .861. He’s had 32 hits, 12 of them for extra bases.
The only piece of the puzzle the Dodgers are missing right now is Cody Bellinger. He’s finally healthy but is only batting .169 in 298 plate appearances this season.
Not the average you’d expect from Bellinger in September. While he hasn’t been healthy much this year, they need more from him moving into the playoffs.
San Francisco Giants Preview
The Giants may be the best all-around team in MLB. There are not many superstars or huge names, just a bunch of veteran guys who can get the job done.
They have definitely been the biggest surprise of the 2021 season. The National League’s version of the Rays, if you will.
Buster Posey is experiencing a resurgence this season and one that seemed unlikely after his play over the few seasons. Posey is slashing .304/.395/.502 with an OPS of .897 on the season.
Brandon Crawford and Brandon Belt have also propelled the Giants into a playoff spot this season. Both are putting up career years.
The Giants have yet to announce their starting pitcher for Sunday’s contest.
Buehler Dominates Giants Lineup
This game will be on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball at 7:08 EST, and what a fitting stage for Buehler to get his 11th straight quality start.
Walker Buehler dominates the Giants lineup with ease, even on the road. Road games don’t mean much to Buehler, and he lights it up regardless of where he plays. In a low-scoring game, the Dodgers beat the Giants, and Buehler gets his 11th straight QS.
Take the Dodgers on the run line in this one. They win and cover the 1.5 runs. Be sure and check Online Betting Sports for all of the latest MLB picks and predictions.
