Chicago White Sox at Los Angeles Angels Odds
According to Betonline, the Angels are favored to win in what could be a high-scoring affair. The Angels have been solid as the favorites despite their overall underwhelming season. Meanwhile, Chicago has had trouble covering when playing as the underdog.
Betonline favors Los Angeles to take care of business in this ball game. However, they will need to win by two or more runs in order to cover the run line. But they will cover the moneyline as long as they simply win the game, regardless of the final score.

Chicago White Sox at Los Angeles Angels Betting Preview
The Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels have been two of the most underwhelming teams in MLB this season. Both entered with lofty expectations and now find themselves under .500.
The White Sox are currently in third place in the AL Central with a 34-37 record. Meanwhile, the Angels are third in the AL West with a 35-40 mark.
So this is a big series for both teams. They could make up ground in their divisions with a couple of wins.
Chicago White Sox Preview
The Chicago White Sox are undeniably laboring in 2022. Between injuries, underperformance, and coaching drama, this is a ball club trying to figure things out.
The White Sox lineup has been one of the most disappointing elements of the team. They were expected to perform at an elite level and instead have been one of the worst in baseball. Their inability to score runs has proved costly without question.
However, the pitching hasn’t fared much better. Sure, Dylan Cease has been incredible. But Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolitio have been terrible.
Both pitchers were considered co-aces on this team entering the season. It should be noted that Lynn and Giolito have dealt with injuries in 2022. But that doesn’t change the fact that their on-field performance has dwindled.
And then there is Tony La Russa.
La Russa has received backlash for poor managerial decisions. Fans have called for his hiring.
It is a mess in Chicago right now. But there is hope given the talent on the White Sox.
Los Angeles Angels Preview
The Angels kicked off the season on a high note. But their May and June struggles have been problematic, to say the least.
The team is not pitching all that well despite a strong offense. Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani continue to play well for the Angels.
LA has displayed signs of breaking out over the past couple of weeks. A series win against the White Sox would be crucial in their return to a winning record. A sweep would be a dream scenario.
Noah Syndergaard will aim to lead the Halos to a much-needed victory on Monday. The Angels would benefit greatly from a series Game One victory.
Matt Duffy exited Sunday’s game with lower back tightness. MLB.com shared a report on his status.
“Duffy started at second base in Sunday’s series finale vs. the Mariners, but Andrew Velazquez replaced him as a defensive substitution in the top of the fourth. The Angels announced the injury as lower back tightness, which interim manager Phil Nevin said Duffy has dealt with before. Duffy will be evaluated further on Monday, though he was ‘moving around OK after he came out,’ according to Nevin. — Sarah Wexler
For the White Sox, Eloy Jimenez is still on the 60-day IL. Reports on his status have been fairly limited.
However, ESPN.com provided a recent report on Yoan Moncada.
White Sox manager Tony La Russa said he remains hopeful Moncada (hamstring) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list Tuesday against the Angels when first eligible, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Injuries have continued to mount for the White Sox. They are going to be battle-tested moving forward without question. However, they also need to make the playoffs in the first place.
It will be interesting to see if they can get past their injuries.
Chicago White Sox at Los Angeles Angels Picks and Predictions
The White Sox and Angels should make for a competitive series. Game One also predicts a competitive ball game.
Lucas Giolito and Noah Syndergaard are the scheduled starters. Syndergaard has performed fairly well this season, as evidenced by his 3.86 ERA. Meanwhile, Gioltio has struggled and has posted a 5.40 ERA.
The White Sox desperately need Giolito to step up and turn things around if they want to bounce back. Having their ace continue to labor does not bode well moving forward.
As for Syndergaard, he has been a quality presence in the Angels’ rotation. He will be a vital piece to the puzzle moving forward as the Angels trudge forward in the AL West.
In the end, I like the Angels as the favorites in this game. Although, I do expect the White Sox to put up a fight.
But trusting Giolitio right now would be a fool’s errand. His struggles may come to the surface with Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani in the opposing dugout.
We should be in for a close and exciting MLB bout! Syndergaard should be able to turn in 5-6 solid innings of work on the mound in an Angels victory.
Betting Pick: Roll with the Los Angeles Angels -1.5 in this Monday night affair.
