The Atlanta Braves look like they’re going to find a way to win the NL East even without Ranold Acuna. But first, they have to beat the Rockies at home.
Touki Toussaint is on the mound for Atlanta on Thursday. Toussaint is 3-2 with a 3.60 ERA on the season. He’s started 7 games for the Braves this season.
Ozzie ALbies missed the last game with a minor injury, so Atlanta hopes to have him back for the Rockies series. With Acuna down, Albies has carried the Braves offense along with Freddie Freeman.

Colorado Rockies Preview
The Rockies will once again miss the MLB playoffs in 2021. Without Nolan Arenado this season, they’ve had Charlie Blackmon, German Marquez, and Trevor Stroy propping the team-up.
Colorado, per usual, has been lights out at home this season. They are ranked #1 in MLB against the run line at home this season with a record of 42-23. The Rockies do not like to fall to the line at home.
They are putting Chi Chi Gonzalez on the bump Thursday night. Gonzalez is not having a great season. His ERA is 6.08, and he’s only 3-6 on the season. That being said, the Colorado offense knows how to score in their own park.
Braves Steal One in Colorado
Most teams in the MLB wish they could defend their home turf as well as the Rockies do. The only team with a better win-loss record at home this season is the Dodgers. Pretty insane for a team that won’t even make the playoffs.
Atlanta has been no slouch on the road this season, either. They are 41-26 against the run line as the away team this year. Their win-loss record on the road is 37-30.
In a battle that puts two very mediocre pitchers against each other, we like the Braves on the road in this one. Touki Toussaint delivers a great outing in Colorado, and the Braves steal one on the road.
