On the men’s side, this event has been completely dominated by Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal over the last two decades. With Federer retired and Nadal injured, Djokovic is the last man standing of the Big Three for this year’s event. Women’s Preview
With Serena Williams retired, the women’s field is more wide open, and the tennis odds reflect this. Last year, Elena Rybankina won her first grand slam title with a three-set win over Ons Jabeur. The previous winners, Ash Barty, Simona Halep, and Angelique Kerber, are not in the field this year, while 2021 runner-up Karolina Pliskova lost in the first round.
Top seed Iga Swiatek won the French Open last month but hasn’t had a ton of success on grass. Her draw got easier when #7 seed Coco Gauff lost in the first round, and other possible semifinal seeded opponents Jessica Pegula and Caroline Garcia have looked shaky over the past couple of months.
