They started the season as a dynamite offense, beating the Ravens, Steelers, and Dolphins. Since then, the Raiders have been one of the most lackluster teams to watch. For a moment, we thought that they’d emerge as the best team in the AFC West. Sadly for them, we were mistaken. At this point, they need to focus on the game instead of sideline distractions.
Interim Head Coach Rich Bisaccia has a lot of weight on his shoulders. The good news is he has a strong team to work with. A team that has a lot of weapons but needs to be pointed in the right direction. Bisaccia could prove that he’s the man for the job in the future with a win here. Or, he could end up proving that the Raiders will need to hunt for a new NFL head coach.
The Broncos are in the same boat as the Raiders
Both of these teams need a kickstart to get their season back on track. The Denver Broncos were garnering a lot of attention across the NFL and somehow lost steam. We aren’t sure if it’s solely coaching or if they’ve been simply outplayed, but something happened. Their offense has been stagnant and boring, while the defense has done what they can to be competitive.
Now they’ll face another team in need of a win to refocus. This game for the Broncos will come down to whether they want it more than the Raiders. If they don’t put all they’ve got into this one, the losing slump will continue. If they play at their best, there’s a chance they’ll claim the number two spot in the division.
