Washington Huskies Win Total Betting Line
Washington was another team that really felt the impact of the strange 2020 season. The Huskies didn’t play their first game until two weeks before Thanksgiving and only played four games in their entire season. The lack of a complete schedule kept the Huskies out of the Pac 12 championship game and allowed 4-3 Oregon to represent the Pac 12 North. Head coach, Jimmy Lake, looks for a do-over in his first full season as the head man in Seattle.

At Michigan (9/11): Washington may get an extra boost by playing the Wolverines at The Big House. Michigan has underperformed as a national brand under Jim Harbaugh, but the name and significance of playing in college football’s biggest stadium will hold some weight. Harbaugh was brought back to Ann Arbor on a shocking four year extension to hopefully right the ship.
Oregon (11/6): The Pac 12 conference favorite (+200 BetUS) comes to Seattle on a pivotal weekend in college football. The Huskies will be holding on to some hurt feelings following last season, as the Ducks represented the Pac 12 North in the conference championship despite Washington’s higher winning percentage. Projected top NFL draft pick Kayvon Thibideaux leads Oregon on the defensive side of the ball and graduate quarterback Anthony Brown is positioned to be the leader on offense. Oregon is an early 2.5-point favorite on the road per BetUS.
Arizona State (11/13): Could the Huskies face a bit of a hangover following a big matchup against Oregon? The Sun Devils come to Husky Stadium a week later led by head coach Herm Edwards. Washington has taken 2 of the last 3 games against the Sun Devils after Arizona State had won 10 straight dating back to 2002. Sun Devil quarterback Jayden Daniels has a chance to be the Pac 12 player of the year as one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country.
Jimmy Lake took over as head coach a season ago after spending the previous six seasons on the Huskies staff as a defensive coordinator or position coach. The Huskies have largely been known for that defense during that time period, putting a number of highly ranked players in the NFL. Even with the loss of All Pac 12 performer Faatui Tuitele to a torn ACL in the spring, the defense should be a strength of the team. On the offensive side of the ball, the entire offensive line is back and should give quarterback Dillon Morris time to hit his stride before the late-season matchup with Oregon.
Over 8.5 wins.
The schedule sets up favorably for the Huskies, with their only two ranked matchups coming at home later in the season. Washington should be able to control the line of scrimmage in almost all of their matchups listed on their schedule, and the offense will have time to gel under Dillon Morris or find the right quarterback to take the offense to the next level. Jimmy Lake’s defense should be up to the task of keeping the Huskies in any game on their schedule as well.
Washington Pac 12 Champions: BetUS has the Huskies betting line at +325 to win the conference. The game against Oregon may not be the sole factor in deciding the Pac 12 North, but it will be a big one. The winner of that game has the inside track to win the conference outright.
Washington to make the College Football Playoff: The Huskies are one of only two Pac 12 teams to appear in the CFP, losing to Alabama in the semi-finals in 2016. The schedule sets up for Washington to be squarely in the mix for a playoff berth and winning the Pac 12 and at Michigan would help bolster their chances to be selected.
