Phillies look to Move Up This Week
The Phillies have to find a way to take at least two out of three this week. Playing one of the worst teams in baseball, being in the division chase has to give these guys a greater purpose for trying to win this game.

The Diamondbacks have played one of the hardest schedules the last three weeks. In their last 16 games, the Diamondbacks have played the Giants, the Dodgers, and the Padres. All teams are competing to win a division. It does not get any easier with the Phillies coming to town.
After a hamstring injury, Ketel Marte is back for Arizona and has picked up right where he left off. With multi-hit games in three of his last five, Marte is the only real bright spot in this lineup. Had he been healthy at the trade deadline, it’s safe to assume Marte would have been dealt as well.
Kyle Gibson will start for the Phillies
Making his fourth start in a Phillies uniform, Kyle Gibson will be Philadelphia’s starting pitcher. He currently has a 2-1 record for Philadelphia, with his one loss coming in his last start against the Dodgers.
Gibson is a pitch-to-contact style pitcher. He is not going to blow it by hitters, which means the defense has to be solid behind him. In three starts, he has only recorded 11 strikeouts. Something to make note of, if his control is not there, he can start to walk guys, nine so far in three starts.
