Online Betting Sports – Expert Picks, News and Betting Predictions: Oakland Athletics at Texas Rangers MLB Betting Preview
Athletics at Rangers Betting Preview
Believe it or not, the LA Angels are not having a great season. But, the Oakland Athletics are, and they are currently in second place in the AL West. They continue their weekend series in Texas against the lowly Rangers.
And if betting on this game is something appealing, make sure to head to Online Betting Sports to wager on the contest.
TOP #3 Sports Betting Sites to Bet Online
Oakland is sitting pretty in the #2 hole in their division, looking to try and get closer to the Astros. As it currently stands, they are 2.5 games back and have a 5.5 game advantage over the Mariners, who are trying to end the longest playoff drought in MLB. These Athletics have been a tough team to slow down, as they have continued to impress.
Texas made some trades around the deadline to acquire prospects and future talent. Joey Gallo is now crushing homers in the Bronx rather than for them. And the only category this team is anywhere near the top in is attendance, where they rank #1. That’s because full crowds have been coming in from the very beginning of the year.
Of course, this is a game likely to be won by Oakland. As a result, a chance at some easy money can be had. In order to wager on the showdown, head to Online Betting Sports and make it happen.
And now, for the betting picks.
The spread for the game is no surprise, set at OAK -1.5 runs. The over/under is set at nine. And the A’s moneyline is -202, while Texas is a +172 underdog.
Oakland Looks to Keep It Rolling
At 67-49, this has been a successful year for the A’s. Matt Olson has been crushing the ball all season, leading the squad with 29 dingers. The lineup has been fluid across the board, though Elvis Andrus has been disappointing in his new home. They should be getting much more out of him. A meager .280 OBP is what he’s had to show.
Seven different players have at least 10 home runs, showing versatility in the power category. And this is despite Matt Chapman hitting just .216 to date. Don’t sleep, though. These guys will probably make the playoffs.
Texas Seeking Positivity
The Rangers will lose a lot more games the rest of the way. And honestly, that isn’t so bad for them. The young guys will continue to get called up, and better days will eventually await them. A top pick in the 2022 draft could do them a lot of good when talking about the future.
For now, they just have to hold their heads high and try and learn positive, winning traits.
James Kaprielian Starting for Okaland
For the 15th time this year, Oakland will trot out James Kaprielian. He has posted a 6-4 record with a 3.22 ERA across 78 1/3 innings of work. Thus far, he has recorded 83 strikeouts against 29 walks. Not too shabby for a #5 starter.
On average, he has allowed one HR per seven innings pitched, which isn’t horrible. He could do a little better with control, but this should be a good outing today.
Jordan Lyles Gets Nod for Texas
Jordan Lyles will be on the bump for the Rangers on Saturday. He has posted a 5-9 record with a 5.46 ERA across 125 1/3 innings in 2021. He has recorded 100 strikeouts while walking 43 batters. All in all, he has struggled.
Let’s see if he can improve his numbers and aid his team on Saturday.
Oakland Gets the W
The A’s will claim victory in the middle game of the AL West series and pick up win No. 68. Well done.
Picks:
OAK -1.5
OVER 9 RUNS SCORED
