The Los Angeles Dodgers at Los Angeles Angels prepare to face off in a Saturday night MLB matchup.
The Los Angeles Dodgers (59-30) prepare to face the Los Angeles Angels (39-52) on Saturday in Anaheim.
These are two teams trending in completely opposite directions. The Dodgers are playing an inspired brand of baseball and defeated the Halos last night. As for the Angels, their spiral continues.
The Angels will try to turn things around on Saturday at home against this red-hot Dodgers squad.
The first pitch is scheduled for 7:07 PM PST at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA.

Los Angeles Dodgers:
The Dodgers took care of business against the Angels on Friday in Anaheim. With the victory, they have now won three consecutive games and are heating up ahead of the All-Star break.
The Dodgers enter this Saturday matchup leading the NL West by almost ten games! It was not that long ago that the team was in a close divisional race with the Padres and even Giants. However, they proved why they feature arguably MLB’s best roster.
The Dodgers enter play leading MLB in team ERA with a mark of 2.96. Additionally, they are first in WHIP, third in batting average against, and fourth in home runs allowed.
Offensively, the Dodgers are fourth in batting average, first in OBP, third in slugging percentage, second in runs scored, and ninth in home runs.
They are simply a well-oiled machine. The Dodgers take care of business on a consistent basis despite a number of injuries this year.
Clayton Kershaw led the way in Game One. He just missed throwing a perfect game but still pitched excellently.
Jose Urias (7-6, 3.01) will start Game Two for the Dodgers. Urias is quietly enjoying a superb season. The left-hander hasn’t received much attention despite posting near All-Star numbers.
He will aim to pick up where Kershaw left off on Saturday.
Los Angeles Angels:
The Angels might just not be that good. They entered the season as a postseason pick for many bettors.
Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani were ready to lead this team that had reinvented itself over the offseason. But after a nice start to the year, the Angels fell apart quickly.
They have dropped four of their past five games and sit a distant fourth in AL West. The frustration continues to mount in Anaheim.
Oddly enough, the Angels’ pitching has actually carried the load in 2022. They are 16th in team ERA, 15th in WHIP, 14th in home runs, and 10th in batting average against. Meanwhile, the offense is just 26th in batting average, 25th in OBP, 19th in slugging percentage, 25th in runs scored, and 11th in home runs.
The Angels have typically relied on a stout offense to get things done. But the lineup, with the exception of Trout and Ohtani, has let down the team so far in 2022.
Jose Suarez (1-3, 4.79) gets the start for the Angels on Saturday. He hasn’t been brilliant by any means, but he’s capable of turning in a decent start every now and then.
The Angels need to turn things around as soon as possible. Their playoff chances are growing dimmer by the second. They will aim to upset the odds at home in this Saturday night affair.
The Dodgers are the obvious favorites despite playing on the road. They are trending in a very different direction than the Angels.
Additionally, Jose Urias is a much better pitcher than Jose Suarez. The Angels will have an uphill climb if they want to win this game.
The Angels feature upset potential. Despite their struggles, this is a lineup capable of putting runs on the board. However, it’s hard to envision them defeating LA in this ball game.
Even if the Angels score some runs, the Dodgers lineup is elite and should have minimal trouble against the Angels’ pitching staff.
So should you take the Dodgers with your Saturday betting pick?
The Dodgers are the favorites for a reason. Look for this lineup to post enough runs while limiting the Angels on Saturday.
Go ahead and roll with the Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 in this contest.

Pick: New York Yankees -1.5
The Red Sox upset the Yankees, who are struggling all of a sudden. However, this New York team is built to last, and they will turn things around sooner than later. Expect the Yankees to rebound with a big win on Saturday against their bitter rivals.
Pick: Milwaukee Brewers +1.5
The Brewers’ pitching staff always gives them a chance to win. I like taking them as the underdog pick in this matchup with an underwhelming Giants team.
