With both teams being the same on the moneyline, it’s going to be difficult to get a pick in here. The books are pretty much telling us that either team can win this one, which was the same in Game 3.
The same line was in Game 3, and we saw the Tampa Bay Lightning come away with an easy win. This could be an indication that they’re going to come away with another win, but Colorado is also likely not going to lose back-to-back games.
We always have to respect what the Tampa Bay Lightning have been able to do throughout the past few years. There’s a reason why this team is in their third Stanley Cup finals in the past three years, and they’re not going to go out without a fight.

Colorado Avalanche at Tampa Bay Lightning Betting Preview
Colorado Avalanche Preview
It was somewhat surprising what happened to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of this series. Giving up six goals isn’t necessarily the craziest thing from their standpoint, but them also scoring only two goals was certainly a surprise.
The Avalanche have arguably been the top team in all of hockey in terms of putting the puck in the back of the net all season, and although Andrei Vasilevskiy is going to make it difficult on them, they should be able to do what they did in Games 1 and 2.
Scoring seven goals like they did in Game 2 might not be replicated again, but they certainly have enough offensive weapons to do so.
Colorado isn’t going to win this one on the defensive side of the puck. They need to do a much better job of keeping the puck out of the back of the net because giving up six goals is inexcusable, but they’re not going to win because of their defense.
They’re going to score the park at a high level, and that’s going to result in them winning this game. If they don’t continue putting the puck in the back of the net at a high level, there’s a good chance that the Lightning are going to even up the series.
We’ve seen the Colorado Avalanche do some impressive things throughout the year as they were able to come away with a sweep in the first round against the Nashville Predators, then they were able to take down the St. Louis Blues in six games, then swept Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.
The Edmonton Oilers were one of the best teams in hockey, and whenever you end up sweeping a team that has Connor McDavid on it, it’s certainly going to be looked at as an impressive victory.
Tampa Bay is certainly the best team that they’ve played throughout the year, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have a chance of winning this series. With them still being up 2-1, even if they were to lose this game, they’re still sitting pretty going back to their home ice for Game 4.
However, this is the game that Colorado desperately needs to win because it’s going to make their lives that much easier.
Tampa Bay Lightning Preview
It shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody about what the Tampa Bay Lightning were able to do in Game 3 of this series. After going down two games to none, Tampa Bay had their backs up against the wall and then responded with an easy 6-0 win.
This Tampa Bay team has had their backs on the wall for the past few years, and they always find a way to get the job done.
There’s a good chance that Colorado does respond in this one and take care of business in Game 4, but there’s also an even better chance that the Tampa Bay Lightning figured something out and are going to continue being the elite team that they’ve been throughout the past few years.
Unlike the Colorado Avalanche, the Tampa Bay Lightning are going to win this one on the defensive side of the puck.
They’re going to have to do enough to keep up in terms of scoring with the Avalanche, but if they give up more than four or five goals in any of these games, there’s a slim chance that they’re going to win.
Andrei Vasilevskiy did a great job in Game 3, and he needs to repeat the performance of what he did in Game 3. His performance in Game 2 was inexcusable and something that the hockey world is not used to seeing from him.
This is going to be an interesting one in Game 4 because Tampa Bay is coming off an incredible win, but that shouldn’t be too much of a concern.
With what this team has been able to do throughout the past few years, it would be likely if they find a way to continue playing that elite hockey that they’ve played. They went down 2-0 against the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals and then ended up winning four games in a row.
They also had a series against the Toronto Maple Leafs where they were down 2-1 and ended up winning that series as well. This team has fight in them, and they’re never going to back down from a challenge.
This is going to be the biggest game of the year for Tampa Bay, just like Game 3 was. There’s no reason to believe that Tampa Bay won’t come out and take care of business in this one, despite how well the Colorado Avalanche have played throughout the entire year.
There are a few key injuries for the Colorado Avalanche. Nazem Kadri is questionable in this one, and Andre Burakovsky is also questionable.
The Tampa Bay Lightning don’t have any key injuries on their report.
Colorado Avalanche at Tampa Bay Lightning Picks and Predictions
The pick of the night here is going to be taking the Colorado Avalanche to win this game outright. Although the Tampa Bay Lightning did look great in Game 3 and were able to come away with an impressive win, the Colorado Avalanche have simply just been too good this year to bet against them.
If the Avalanche can keep the puck out of the net at a higher level than they did in Game 3, this is a game that they should be able to win. The Lightning are not going to come back out and scored six goals against Colorado, despite their issues in the back of the net throughout the year.
The one downside for Colorado this season has undoubtedly been their goaltending, but Darcy Kuemper should be able to figure a few things out, and the Avalanche should continue putting the puck in the back of the net at a high level, which will result in them getting a win.
This is going to be one of the more interesting games of the Stanley Cup playoffs and one that can truly decide who’s going to be the winner this year. As we’ve previously noted, if Colorado does win this game, they’re likely going to win the Stanley Cup. If Tampa Bay’s to win this game, there’s a legitimate chance that this team can fight back and win another Stanley Cup.
