Betting on Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs competitive 24-20 loss last week stung. Patrick Mahomes did all he could to help KC emerge victorious.
The KC QB went 25-40 through the air with 338 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. However, the Bills’ defense and Mahomes threw a couple of interceptions.
The Chiefs’ defense played fairly well and contained the Bills’ potent offense to an extent. But Josh Allen and Co. still performed well and earned the win.
The Chiefs enter this Week-7 matchup with the 49ers seeking redemption. They come into the game ranked first in points per game, fifth in total yards per game, fourth in passing yards per game, and 20th in rushing yards per game.
The Chiefs’ offense would truly be lethal if they could get a bit more out of the rushing attack. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been solid, but they would benefit from quality depth.
Defensively, the Chiefs are 25th in points against per game, 20th in total yards against per game, 13th in total sacks, and 28th in interceptions. Kansas City’s defense has been quite bad in 2022.
They will try and quiet the Niners on Sunday on the road.
Betting on San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers simply did not play well in all facets of the game against the Falcons. Turnovers told the story, and the defense did not help matters.
Jimmy Garoppolo was picked off twice in the affair. He added two touchdowns and just under 300 yards, but the turnovers were both costly.
Jeff Wilson Jr. also lost a fumble out of the backfield in the game. San Francisco did not get much production out of their running game, which placed more pressure on Garoppolo and the passing game.
The defense allowed Marcus Mariota to throw two touchdowns while going an extremely efficient 13-14 through the air.
The 28 points allowed were shocking, given their defensive numbers on the year. The 49ers rank second in points against per game, first in total yards against per game, second in sacks, and 12th in interceptions.
Offensively, they are 19th in points per game, 21st in total yards per game, 22nd in passing yards per game, and 12th in rushing yards per game.
The Niner offense has been mediocre for most of the year. However, the defense had been elite for the most part, but one has to wonder how they will fare against the powerful Chiefs after getting carved up by Atlanta.
One would imagine that they will rebound in front of the home fans. Then again, containing Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City is one of the most difficult challenges in the NFL.
Injury Report
For the Chiefs, Trent McDuffie, Blake Bell, and Justyn Ross are on the IR. Besides those players, this is a healthy Chiefs team heading into Week 7. They are hoping to keep things that way moving forward.
For the 49ers, Javon Kinlaw and Emmanuel Moseley were recently placed on the IL. Meanwhile, Colton McKivitz sprained his MCL two weeks ago and was placed on the IL. San Francisco has a number of injury concerns as well.

The Chiefs are favored but can they cover this narrow spread?
Kansas City is expected to win, but the Niners are destined for a rebound following their horrendous Week 6 effort. This could wind up being a close game.
