Odds, Picks and Predictions
The Indianapolis Colts (1-2-1) will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos (2-2) on Thursday Night Football.
The Colts are fresh off of a narrow loss to the Tennessee Titans at home. They played fairly well but were unable to come up clutch when it mattered.
The Broncos were defeated by the previously winless Las Vegas Raiders. Denver has had an extremely mediocre campaign up to this point.
Both the Colts and Broncos entered the season with high expectations. And they have both fallen below those expectations so far. However, the good news is that we are only heading into Week 5.
The Colts and Broncos will look to jump back into the win column on Thursday in Denver.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 PM EST on Thursday, October 6th, at Empower Field in Denver, CO.

The Colts and Broncos are just 1-3 against the spread. Again, they both entered the 2022 season with lofty expectations but have failed to meet those goals so far.
Denver is 1-1 ATS when playing at their home field. Meanwhile, Indy is 0-2 ATS on the road. Denver’s previous cover at home may bestow a bit more confidence for those who choose to place their money on the Broncos.
But are the Broncos the team to beat? Or can the Colts upset the odds?
Betting on Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are fresh off of a disappointing 24-17 loss against the Titans. The offensive finally showed potential, but they could not provide enough points to overcome Tennessee.
QB Matt Ryan threw for over 350 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns in the game. Additionally, the veteran quarterback went 27-37 through the air. It was a strong effort by Ryan.
Jonathan Taylor did not help matters on offense. The Colts RB tallied just 42 rushing yards on 20 carries. He ended up being listed as questionable following the game after suffering an apparent injury.
His status for the Colts vs. Broncos Thursday affair has not yet been determined.
The Colts had no answer for Derrick Henry, who ran for 114 yards and added a TD. The Titans looked like the better team in this game, and the results affirmed that narrative.
But Indianapolis can still turn their season around. They just need a way to stabilize their offensive attack.
The Colts are last in points per game, 14th in total yards per game, sixth in passing yards per game, 27th in rushing yards per game, and seventh in a time of possession per game. With Jonathan Taylor in the backfield, one would have predicted a much higher rushing yards total for the Colts. Taylor is still looking to get things going in 2022.
Defensively, they are 13th in points against per game, sixth in total yards against per game, 22nd in sacks, and 26th in interceptions.
Indianapolis will do what they can to upset the odds in Denver on Thursday Night Football.
Betting on Denver Broncos
The Broncos lost 32-23 against the Raiders over the weekend.
Russell Wilson went 17-25 through the air with 237 passing yards and two touchdowns. It was a decent effort, but the Broncos expect more from him.
Denver’s rushing attack did not help him at all, as they found no rhythm throughout. In fact, Wilson led the team in rushing yards with a mark of 29.
Denver’s defense did an alright job of containing Derek Carr. But Josh Jacobs produced eye-popping results in the Raiders’ win. He ran for 144 rushing yards and added two TDs.
The Broncos were likely game planning around stopping Carr and the passing game. However, the Raiders’ rushing effort caught them off-guard.
It should be noted that wide receiver Davante Adams was able to reel in nine receptions for over 100 yards.
The Broncos offense ranks just 30th in points per game, 21st in yards per game, 19th in passing yards per game, 18th in rushing yards per game, and ninth in a time of possession per game.
Their defense is fifth in points against per game, fourth in total yards per game, sixth in sacks, and 24th in interceptions.
They will lean on their defensive effort to cover the odds in this contest. And if the offense is able to get things going, Denver will be in line to cover the spread.

Should you take the favored Broncos on Thursday?
Jonathan Taylor’s potential absence will be the difference maker. If he is unable to play, the Broncos should be able to cruise to a home win.
However, it will be much more interesting if he is able to play. Nevertheless, the Broncos are the team to beat in this affair.
