Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Phillies Betting Pick
The 1-2 Kansas Chiefs don’t exude a lot of confidence on the road at the Eagles in NFL Week 4. Then again, Philadelphia just got exploited in front of the nation 41-21 against Dallas on Monday night and now has a short week to prepare for an angry K.C. squad.

Betting Odds & Betting Lines
According to BetUs, Kansas City Chiefs are coming into the match as overwhelming betting favorites, priced just -320 to win against Philadelphia Eagles, who are +260 to take the W. Bovada have the exact same moneyline betting odds.
As for the betting spread, both bookmakers have the line set at 7.00 points. For those interested in totals betting, BetUs and Bovada have the line set at 54.50 points.
K.C. Defense a Liability?
The Chiefs’ defense looks horrible in ranking 2nd last in the league in points allowed and in rush defense, but they’ve also played three very good offenses in Cleveland, Baltimore, and the Chargers. The Eagles are on the complete opposite end of the offensive spectrum.
Make no mistake, the Browns, Ravens, and L.A. have provided the game plan for how to exploit this K.C. defense. Baker Mayfield threw for 321, and the Browns ran for another 150+ in the season opener, the Ravens followed that up with 250+ on the ground in NFL week 2, and last Sunday, the Chargers got 4 T.D. passes from Justin Herbert in the Chiefs’ 30-24 loss as -6.5 favorites.
Before everybody jumps off the Chiefs bandwagon, it’s important to remember that the 1-2 Chiefs are just seven total points away from being 3-0. They still have Patrick Mahomes, who is completing 70% of his passes and has three T.D. passes in each game.
Kansas City may have also found a ground game for this sports betting matchup, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire running for 100 yards on 17 carries.
Pressure on for Eagles Offense
The betting lines do not like Philadelphia at home this week, and why would people have any confidence in the Eagles after their 41-21 loss at Dallas on Monday night as +3.5 underdogs?
The Chiefs have been exploited in their run defense in two of three games this season, but the Eagles ran a whopping 12 times vs. Dallas for only 64 yards. K.C. also looked better against the run last Sunday, holding the Chargers to 77 yards on the ground on 22 carries.
The Eagles could be very one-dimensional on Sunday afternoon, and although Jalen Hurts did put up 326 yards passing vs. Dallas, he also needed 39 attempts to do so. Philadelphia never put up a fight on Monday night, down 27-7 a minute into the 3rd quarter.
The Eagles also had one of their T.D.s against Dallas come on a fumble recovery in the end zone and the other with a little over 3 minutes left and the Cowboys playing prevent defense up 41-14 at the time in the 4th quarter.
The Eagles were especially vulnerable against the T.E. on Monday, with Dallas’ Dalton Schultz having six grabs for 80 yards with 2 T.D. That game plan needs to get dialed in with Travis Kelce coming to town.
Dak Prescott had little resistance from the Eagles defense, completing 21 of 26 passes with 3 T.D. and 0 INT. Those are numbers Mahomes likes to hear even though Philadelphia does currently sit at 6th in the NFL in pass defense, giving up only 181.7 yards/game.
Chiefs at Eagles Pick
The elephant in the room for sportsbooks in this NFL free pick is if Andy Reid will be on the sidelines for Kansas City after being rushed by ambulance after last week’s loss to the Chargers with heart palpitations.
By all accounts, Reid should be good to go, which means the K.C. offense will operate business as usual.
The Chiefs’ defense also isn’t as bad as they’ve looked the last three weeks, facing great offenses in their 1-2 start. The Eagles are not on that level.
