Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears Betting Preview
It’s NFL Week 2 of the NFL Preseason, and one of the most intriguing matchups will take place in the city of Chicago as the Bears are set to host the Buffalo Bills. Both teams were in the playoffs a season ago, but the quarterback matchup will make this game intriguing.
The Buffalo Bills advanced all the way to the AFC Championship Game a season ago, and they are one of the NFL betting favorites to get back to that game in 2021. Buffalo picked up an impressive 16-15 win over Detroit in the preseason opener and did so without many starters.
Chicago advanced to the NFL Playoffs a season ago, but it was a quick exit in a loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Bears were able to pick up a win over the Miami Dolphins in the preseason opener, and they are looking to build up some momentum heading into the regular season.
According to BetUS Sportsbook, the NFL spread odds for this game have the Chicago Bears as 4.5-point favorites.

Trubisky Back in Chicago
The Buffalo Bills have an MVP candidate in Josh Allen at quarterback, but he won’t be taking the field in this game. The Bills are set to send out Mitchell Trubisky to start this game, and Trubisky spent the first four years of his career with the Bears.
Despite moving up in the NFL Draft to select Trubisky just a few seasons ago, the Bears never really gave him a chance to succeed in Chicago. Trubisky still has the skills to have success in the NFL, and he will be looking to put on a show at Soldier Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Bills should have one of the best defenses in the NFL once the regular season begins, and Buffalo was solid on that end in the preseason opener. Buffalo will be facing a much better offensive team in this game, especially as the Bears will have a talented rookie at quarterback.
Fields Leading the Bears
Justin Fields is going to see plenty of playing time for the Bears at quarterback in this game, and he was terrific in the preseason opener. The Bears claim that they are going with Andy Dalton as their starting quarterback, but Fields is making that a tough decision.
All Fields did in the preseason opener was throw a touchdown pass and then run for another. The offense seemed to take on a new life when he was under center, and there are some other talented pieces.
The defense in Chicago has been carrying the team in recent seasons, and that group will be motivated to perform against Trubisky. You won’t see the defensive starters for Chicago on the field much, but they will make their presence felt at the beginning of the game.
Bears Beat Up on Trubisky, Bills
There will be plenty of motivation for Mitchell Trubisky to play well in this game, but there are still some questions or concerns about his overall ability. The Bears also want to play well against their former quarterback, and that defense can be scary at times.
Chicago looked extremely impressive in the second half of the preseason opener against the Dolphins, and that momentum will carry over into this game. Justin Fields should have another big day against a Bills defense that will be resting several starters.
Buffalo is still going to go on and have a better overall season than the Bears, but Chicago will play better in this game. Soldier Field will be packed and ready to cheer on the Bears to another win on Saturday afternoon.
Beat to BetUS Sportsbook and take the Chicago Bears -4.5 as they pick up a second straight NFL Preseason win over the Buffalo Bills.
