The Miami Dolphins (5-3) and Chicago Bears (3-5) will go head-to-head on Sunday.
The Dolphins have won two games in a row after previously going through a difficult stretch of games. They are beginning to play quality football and will look to take care of business on the road.
The Bears have only won once over their past five games. Chicago will be helped by their home-field advantage, but Chicago hasn’t provided much reason for faith so far in 2022.
Can the Bears pull off the home upset against this Dolphins team? Or will Miami get the job done in Chicago?
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM EST on Sunday, November 6th, at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL. We should be in for an exciting NFL matchup!

Dolphins Overview:
The Dolphins have been a very streaky team so far in 2022. But they are fresh off of back-to-back victories against the Steelers and Lions.
Miami narrowly earned a 31-27 victory over the lowly Lions in their last matchup. It was a challenging affair, but in the end, a win is a win, and they will not complain.
- The Miami Dolphins are 4-4 against the spread this year.
- The Dolphins are 2-2 against the spread when playing on the road this season.
- Miami is 2-2 against the spread when playing as a favorite so far in 2022.
- They are 1-1 against the spread as an away favorite this year.
The Dolphins were playing extremely well to open the season. They started out 3-0, including victories against talented teams such as the Bills and Ravens. Miami followed that up with three straight losses.
The Tua Tagovailoa concussion controversy was a distraction that likely played a role in their struggles. But after six games, the Dolphins found themselves sporting a 3-3 record.
However, they have answered with consecutive wins against the Steelers and Lions, advancing their record to 5-3. Miami has a strong chance to add another win in this game vs. the Bears.
Chicago has not played well as of late, and Miami enters as a convincing home favorite.
On the season, the Dolphins rank 16th in points per game, seventh in total yards per game, third in passing yards per game, and 28th in rushing yards per game. They would obviously benefit from more running back productivity, but this is a Dolphins offense capable of playing well.
Defensively, they are 22nd in points against per game, 23rd in total yards against per game, 26th in passing yards against per game, sixth in rushing yards against per game, 20th in sacks, and 23rd in interceptions. The Dolphins’ defense endured its share of ups and downs throughout the campaign.
As long as they stick to their game plan and avoid costly turnovers, the Dolphins should not have much of an issue covering the spread on Sunday in Chicago.
Bears Overview:
The Bears were most recently defeated by the Cowboys in Dallas by a final score of 49-29. Chicago’s defense had no answer for an Ezekiel Elliott-less Cowboys scoring unit.
The Bears were able to upset the Patriots in New England two weeks ago. The Patriots had been playing well prior to that contest before Chicago earned a surprising victory.
- The Chicago Bears are 3-4-1 against the spread this year.
- The Bears are 1-1-1 against the spread when playing at their home field so far in 2022.
- Chicago is 3-4 against the spread as an underdog so far this season.
- They are 1-1 against the spread as a home underdog.
The Bears enter play playing an underwhelming brand of football. With the exception of the aforementioned Patriots’ win two weeks ago, Chicago has struggled to find their footing.
The Bears’ issues have stemmed from both sides of the ball.
Offensively, they are 23rd in points per game, 24th in total yards per game, last in passing yards per game, and first in rushing yards per game. The Bears’ drastically different results between passing and rushing are a result of Justin Fields.
Fields is a tremendous runner who excels at scrambling out of the pocket. He and running back Khalil Herbert team up for an excellent running duo.
However, Fields doesn’t have many options in the passing game, and he’s sometimes labored to throw the football.
Defensively, Chicago is 19th in points against per game, 16th in yards against per game, fifth in passing yards against per game, 31st in rushing yards against per game, 28th in sacks, and fourth in INTs.
Upsetting the odds will not be easy, given their inconsistent style of play. But there is a chance, given their home-field standing.

Miami Dolphins at Chicago Bears: Odds & Picks
Odds for this Matchup:
Miami Dolphins | -5 | O/45.5 | -220 |
Chicago Bears | +5 | U/45.5 | +190 |
The Dolphins are listed as convincing home favorites, but this isn’t a massive spread by any means. As a result, the Dolphins won’t need to win by much in order to cover the spread.
This bodes well for Miami bettors.
Recommended Pick:
If the spread was set to a larger difference, I would hesitate about rolling with the Dolphins. The Bears are at home and could make this a fairly interesting game.
But with the Dolphins only needing to cover a 5-point spread, Miami profiles as an excellent betting pick in this game. Unless you are all in on Chicago winning on Sunday, the Dolphins are the pick to click without question.
Go ahead and roll with the Miami Dolphins -5 in this Sunday game.
