2022 NFL Pro Bowl NFL Betting Analysis, Odds & Picks

The AFC Pro Bowl Team and NFC Pro Bowl Team prepare to square off against each other on Sunday in Las Vegas.

The AFC leads the all-time series with the NFC 25-22. While this number may not prove to be a factor given that rosters are constantly changing in the NFL, the AFC has also not lost a game since 2012.

The NFC will look to earn their revenge and get back into the win column on Sunday.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. EST on Sunday, February 6th, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Betting Analysis for AFC vs. NFC Betting Analysis, Picks

AFC Betting Stats & Analysis

The AFC has dominated the Pro Bowl in recent years. Although the talent on both rosters tends to be plentiful, the AFC seems to find ways to win.

This season they will be led by the young superstar quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert was fantastic for the Chargers this season and just missed leading them to a postseason appearance. He is undoubtedly destined to lead the charge as one of the best quarterbacks in the league for years to come.

Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson follow Herbert on the depth chart. Jackson was still selected to the roster even after missing a good chunk of time due to injury, while Mahomes led the Chiefs all the way to the AFC Championship Game before losing to the Bengals.

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor gets the nod as the starting running back. Taylor had a monster campaign and is a legitimate contender for MVP.

The duo of Tyreek Hill and Ja’Marr Chase would have been exciting to see play with one another at wide receiver, but Chase’s Bengals are in the Super Bowl. Another Chief lines up at tight end in Travis Kelce, as well as the Ravens’ Mark Andrews.

The AFC features an intimidating defense line with Cleveland’s Myles Garret, Kansas City’s Chris Jones, and Pittsburgh’s Cam Heyward leading the way. T.J. Watt of the Steelers and Jose Bosa of the Chargers will both be impressive defensive presences as well.

The AFC certainly boasts a highly qualified roster. They practically have the entire Chiefs offense on the squad, and they have breakout stars at running back and on defense.

NFC Betting Stats & Analysis

The NFC will try and right the ship in Vegas on Sunday.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the scheduled starting quarterback for the NFC. However, the status of both he and Tom Brady are in question. Rodgers may opt not to play as he considers his future for 2022, while Tom Brady, of course, recently called it a career.

Kirk Cousins of the Vikings and Russell Wilson of the Seahawks would be added to the roster as replacements if neither Brady nor Rodgers suits up.

Kyler Murray of the Cardinals is third on the depth chart but would receive the starting nod if Rodgers and Brady end up not playing. Murray had a successful season despite a very shaky playoff performance against the Rams. His dual-threat ability makes him one of the most dangerous players in the league.

Minnesota’s Dalvin Cook leads a stout running attack. Arizona’s James Conner and New Orleans’s Alvin Kamara follow Cook in the pecking order. All three running backs were tremendous in 2022 despite all dealing with various injuries.

Cook and Kamara have seen stardom in the past, while Conner enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2021.

The best wide receiver of the season will be inactive for the Pro Bowl as Cooper Kupp has his mind focused on preparing for the Super Bowl. This is an obvious blow for the NFC, as having Kupp on the field might have changed the entire dynamic of the game.

But Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson makes for a tremendous wide receiver one in place of Kupp.

Hybrid running back/wide receiver Deebo Samuel of the 49ers also will make an appearance in the game. He could be one of the most exciting players to watch in the game between making catchers on deep routes and running some jet sweeps.

George Kittle of the Niners leads the tight ends for the NFC. Kittle posted another productive season and bounced back nicely from his 2020 injury-plagued campaign.

San Francisco’s Nick Bosa, Carolina’s Brian Burns, and New Orleans’s Cam Jordan lead a strong defense line for the team. All three are more than capable of causing havoc for opposing quarterbacks.

Other star defenders on the team include; Shaquil Barrett of the Buccaneers, Chandler Jones of the Cardinals, Micah Parsons of the Cowboys, Darius Slay of the Eagles, Quandre Diggs of the Seahawks, and Budda Baker of the Cardinals.

The NFC has plenty of talent and should make a run at a victory on Sunday.

AFC vs. NFC Betting Odds

The AFC enter as narrow favorites according to the majority of top sportsbooks. This is likely due to the fact of the recent success of the conference in addition to the doubtful statuses of both Rodgers and Brady.

But in the end, this is truly either side’s game for the taking.

How To Bet On: AFC vs. NFC – Betting lines

Betting on the Pro Bowl is difficult since both sides are absolutely loaded with talent.

However, the NFC is likely going to be without two of the best quarterbacks of the 2021 season, as well as wide receiver MVP candidate Cooper Kupp.

Meanwhile, the AFC expect to have all of their quarterbacks ready to suit up as well as superstar running back Jonathan Taylor. Patrick Mahomes is available and is not even the starter which speaks to the team’s immense depth.

On the defensive side, you might as well flip a coin because both teams have plenty of firepower.

In the end, I do like the AFC by a narrow margin.
