Kansas Jayhawks at Iowa State Cyclones

The No.10 Kansas Jayhawks (17-3) and No. 20 Iowa State Cyclones (16-5) square off on Tuesday night.

Kansas had their five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday in an 80-62 loss against Kentucky. The Jayhawks will look to jump back into the win column on Tuesday.

Iowa State last played on Saturday when they defeated Missouri by a final score of 67-50. The Cyclones have now won two consecutive games and will try and make it three in a row at home against the Jayhawks.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. EST. on Tuesday, February 1st, at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

Betting Analysis for Kansas Jayhawks at Iowa State Cyclones NCAAB Betting Analysis, Picks

Kansas Jayhawks Betting Stats & Analysis

Kansas was enjoying a successful two-loss season prior to their recent matchup against Kentucky. But then the wheels came off, and they were blown out by the Wild Cats. The loss is certainly not the end of the world, but the Jayhawks expected more out of themselves in the game.

Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun led the team in scoring with 13 apiece. Nobody else posted more than eight points in the contest.

The Jayhawks were not great from the field, as they shot just 40.7 percent. They also posted a 33.3 percent mark from beyond the arc. They turned the ball over only 11 times as well.

The issues stemmed from an inability to grab rebounds. Kansas was out-rebounded by Kentucky 41-29 and 12-7 on the offensive glass. When you factor that with a Kentucky field goal percentage of 50.8 percent, it is no wonder why the Wild Cats earned the win.

In all reality, Kansas was just outplayed on Saturday. It was a game they could have won, but they just could not get the job done. Perhaps the defeat will add some extra motivation for this Tuesday affair against Iowa State.

The Jayhawks will need to be more aggressive when it comes to the rebound battle. If they can grab boards and shoot a bit more efficiently, they should be in line to earn the bounce-back victory on the road.

Iowa State Cyclones Betting Stats & Analysis

Iowa State took care of business in a game they were expected to win on Saturday against the Missouri Tigers.

Izaiah Brockington led the scoring charge with 15 points to go along with six rebounds. Tyrese Hunter added 14 points and four assists, while Aljas Kunc contributed 11 points in the win.

Iowa State narrowly won the rebound battle by a four-point margin while turning the ball over 12 times and dishing out 16 team assists. They shot 45.3 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from deep.

But it was the defensive effort that truly stood out in the game. The Cyclones totaled seven steals and caused 18 total turnovers for the Tigers. They constantly hounded Missouri, never allowing them to feel comfortable with the ball.

Iowa State might need another pesky defensive effort against a quality Jayhawks team on Tuesday. Kansas is ranked ninth overall in the nation when it comes to field goal percentage, so the Cyclones cannot allow them to settle in and start hitting shots.

Expect Iowa State to play intense defense in an effort to try and rattle the Jayhawks throughout this game.

Kansas Jayhawks at Iowa State Cyclones NCAAB Betting Odds

The Jayhawks are 4.5 point favorites across the board leading into this Tuesday night affair. But winning on the road is always easier said than done, especially when facing a talented team such as the Cyclones.

Kansas should be able to pull out the victory, but Iowa State is a difficult team to underestimate.

How To Bet On: Kansas Jayhawks at Iowa State Cyclones NCAAB – Betting lines

Kansas needs to approach this game in a motivated manner. They are fresh off of an extremely frustrating loss at the hands of Kentucky, and they need to turn that frustration into a hard-fought effort on the road against the Cyclones.

It all starts on the boards. The Jayhawks have the tools to win the rebound battle in this game. It would be icing on the cake if they can out-rebound Iowa State on the offensive glass as well.

Iowa State’s best chances for an upset revolves around the turnover battle. If they can take care of the basketball while causing havoc for the Cyclones, it will provide them with an opportunity to steal a home victory.

In the end, betting on Kansas to cover the spread is the correct pick. They are a top ten team for a reason and should be able to emerge victorious on the road in this affair.
