Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls – NBA Betting Analysis, Picks

The Chicago Bulls will host the Milwaukee Bucks in game 3 of their Eastern Conference postseason series.

The Bulls earned a massive road victory on Tuesday. They narrowly pulled out a four-point win, and it was a momentum-changing performance for Chicago without question. It will be a game they look back on if they are able to upset Milwaukee in this series.

The reigning champs need a win on Friday. They can’t afford to go down 2-1 on the road after losing a game at home. Milwaukee will aim for a better effort on Friday on the road.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 P.M. EST on Friday, April 22nd, at the United Center in Chicago, IL.

Betting Analysis for Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls

Milwaukee Bucks Betting Stats & Analysis

The Bucks got the job done in Game 1 at home. They won a low-scoring 93-86 affair in a contest that felt old-fashioned.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge with 27 points and 16 rebounds. But the Bucks shot just 40 percent as a team and turned the ball over 21 times while dishing out just 19 assists.

But their defense held strong and limited the Bulls to just 32.3 percent field goal shooting and 18.9 three-point percent shooting.

Both offenses fared better in Game 2. Milwaukee turned the ball over 15 times and shot 45 percent from the field. They also handed out 27 assists. But Chicago’s offense came alive, which we will discuss later.

Antetokounmpo led the Bucks once again with 33 points, 18 rebounds, and nine assists. Brook Lopez contributed an unprecedented 25 points as well. But Milwaukee’s bench added just eight points off the bench, and the Bucks ended up losing by four points.

To make matters worse, Khris Middleton suffered a sprained MCL in Game 2. His injury will only make the bench productivity all the more important.

Milwaukee is not in a great spot right now. They are fresh off of a home loss, and one of their best players is now injured. But Giannis leading the charge means they will have a chance to win in Chicago on Friday.

Chicago Bulls Betting Stats & Analysis

After Game 1’s ugly offensive performance, it honestly looked as if this series was over. The Bulls had struggled against good teams all season long, and it seemed like Milwaukee was on the fast track to a series win.

But DeMar DeRozan and Co. had other ideas in mind.

DeRozan set the tone in Game 2 with an outstanding 41 points on 16-31 shooting from the field. Nikola Vucevic added 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Zach LaVine scored 20 points. Alex Caruso dished out ten assists and scored nine points as well.

The Bulls’ defense has also been impressive in this series. They forced over 20 Milwaukee turnovers in Game 1 and then 15 Bucks turnovers in Game 2. And one would figure they will be even better at home over the next two games.

And that is where their path to victory begins. Sure, DeRozan could go and score over 40 points again. But this Bucks team can hang around with any offense.

Chicago needs to cause havoc on defense and force turnovers. If they can make the Bucks feel uncomfortable on offense, then the Bulls will have a solid shot at pulling off the upset.

Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls NBA Betting Odds

The Bucks are still the favorites in this game and this series. But their odds decreased with their recent loss and the Middleton injury.

Momentum plays a huge role in any postseason, and right now, the momentum is clearly in Chicago’s favor. The Bucks need all hands on deck in order to help Giannis lead them to a road victory on Friday night.

How to Bet On: Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls NBA – Betting lines

Can the Bulls upset the odds at their home arena?

Yes, they can, as long as their defense gets the job done. Chicago can’t rely on their scoring output to carry them. If Chicago forces more than 15 turnovers, they will be in a position to win this contest at home.

The Bucks will need to take care of the basketball. Careless turnovers lead to transition points which has played a big role in the past two games.

The X-Factor in this game is going to be Zach LaVine. DeRozan set the tone on offense in Game 2 for Chicago, and he obviously led them to the win. But Milwaukee is going to do everything in their power to contain him on Friday.

This means that LaVine could end up scoring 30 or more points. He has the ability to take over a game, and I would not be surprised to see him post big numbers on Friday.

I like Chicago as a home underdog in this contest.
