Betting Analysis for Memphis Grizzlies at Milwaukee Bucks NBA
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Stats & Analysis
The Grizzlies covered a large spread on Monday against a short-handed Bulls team. Memphis was led by Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, who both scored 25 in the win. Brandon Clarke added 15 points and seven rebounds off of the bench as well.
The Grizzlies made every shot count in this game. They shot just over 51 percent from the field and exactly 40 percent from deep. Being able to consistently hit shots is important regardless of your opponent.
And Memphis has been mediocre in terms of shooting efficiency. They rank just 16th in field goal and 20th in three-point percentage, so seeing the ball fly through the hoop at a high rate on Monday was a nice change of pace.
One area where they played in exactly the opposite manner is in the turnover department. For the season, they average just 12.8 turnovers per contest which is good for 10th in the NBA. But they coughed up the ball a whopping 17 times against Chicago.
But their ability to knock down shots and post a significant amount of points bailed them out. But they are going to need to take better care of the basketball against the Bucks, who place 10th in the NBA in steals per game.
It should also be noted that Memphis did steal the ball 14 times and caused 18 Bull turnovers. The Grizzlies are the leaders in steals per game this season as well. That form of pesky defense could help frustrate Giannis and Khris Middleton in this matchup.
The Grizzlies will look to stay scorching hot on the road in Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
Milwaukee Bucks Betting Stats & Analysis
The Bucks have dealt with some defensive inconsistencies over the past two games. Notably, they dropped a very winnable game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday by a final score of 121-114.
The Bucks had no answer for the Hawks offense, which saw Trae Young score 30 points and had five others in double figures in the scoring department. They could not figure out a way to stop them.
And it is not as if Milwaukee is a poor defensive team. They place 10th in the NBA in defensive efficiency and 15th in points allowed per game. It simply appears like the Bucks are going through a defensive slump.
Teams deal with offensive struggles throughout the course of a basketball season, which tends to get magnified by the media. But on the same note, teams can go through stretches where their defense is lacking. Milwaukee should be able to bounce back in the near future.
But getting their defense back on track against a Memphis team that ranks fourth in points per game will prove to be quite the challenge.
In the loss against Atlanta, the Bucks still produced a solid offensive night. They shot over 42 percent from beyond the arc and turned the ball over a modest 13 times while dishing out 21 assists.
Khris Middleton led the way with 34 points on 4-9 shooting from deep. Giannis Antetokounmpo added 27 points while Bobby Portis posted a double-double with his 13 and 13 evening.
The Bucks offense should keep them in this game against the Grizzlies. We will see if their defensive effort can recover to its usual form.

How To Bet On: Memphis Grizzlies at Milwaukee Bucks NBA – Betting lines
The Grizzlies have been one of the most impressive teams in basketball over the past few weeks. They turned themselves into a fringe contender in the West to a top-tier team.
Milwaukee has labored as of late. Part of that is due to being without Jrue Holiday over the past week, but there’s no question that the Bucks are struggling.
And that is why I am rolling with the Memphis Grizzlies to upset the seven point spread on Wednesday. I think their defense will do just enough to contain Milwaukee while Ja Morant and the offense take care of the rest.
