If Boston is going to force a game 7 in this one, it’s going to start on the defensive side of the ball. In the games that they were able to win against the Golden State Warriors, they did a great job defensively. The only way that Boston is going to be an elite team throughout the next two games, if there is a game 7, is if they’re going to be able to continue being the best defensive team in the NBA just like they were all throughout the year.
Another major factor in this game is going to be if Jason Tatum can step up for them. He hasn’t necessarily had any games throughout this series where he truly looks like the best player on the court. For a guy who people are claiming to be a top-five player in the NBA, he needs to step up. He had a decent game in game 5 of this series, scoring 27 points on 50% shooting.
However, for a guy that’s getting claimed as a top-five player in the NBA, he needs to be much better. He saw what Stephen Curry is doing to him right now, and he also said what Giannis Antetokounmpo did last season.

This is going to be one of the more difficult NBA finals games of the series to predict. The reason behind this is that it feels like the Golden State Warriors have all the momentum in the world, but the Boston Celtics have just been incredible throughout the entire year when their backs are up against the wall. If this trend is going to continue, Boston will likely force a game 7.
Once they force a game 7, anything is truly possible. However, our focus is on game 6 right now, and it’s going to be tough to predict who’s going to win this game.
