The Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers meet up for a Saturday night NBA matchup.

The Best Bets for Saturday, February 12th

A couple of Eastern Conference contenders prepare to face off as the Cleveland Cavaliers (35-21) travel to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers (33-22) on Saturday night.

The Cavaliers continue to shock the NBA world as they currently place near the top of the Eastern Conference standings and have won four consecutive games. The Cavs will play in the second of a back-to-back on Saturday following Friday night’s victory against the Pacers.

Philadelphia took care of business against the Thunder at home with a 13 point victory. The Sixers rebounded nicely following their defeat at the hands of the Suns, and they will look to add another win on Saturday at home against the Cavs.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. EST at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Cleveland Cavaliers:

  • Cleveland is 34-19–3 ATS this season.
  • The Cavaliers have a league-best 22-10-2 ATS record following a victory.
  • They are 17-10-2 ATS on the road.
  • Cleveland is 19-8-1 ATS as an underdog.
  • The Cavs own a league-leading 12-5-1 ATS record as a road underdog.
  • They are 4-4-2 ATS in the second of a back-to-back.
  • Cleveland has an over/under record of 21-34-1.

Philadelphia 76ers:

  • Philadelphia is 27-28 ATS this year.
  • The 76ers are 15-17 ATS after a win.
  • They are 10-17 ATS at their home arena.
  • Philadelphia is 15-20 ATS as a favorite.
  • The Sixers are 7-13 ATS as a home favorite.
  • They are 2-3 ATS in the second of a back-to-back.
  • Philadelphia owns an over/under record of 22-32-1.

Betting Odds

The Sixers and Cavs enter Saturday playing with no rest following their Friday night matchups. However, both teams were successful in their Friday games.

Cleveland took care of Indiana despite a pesky performance from the Pacers.

Former Pacer Caris LeVert and center Jarrett Allen led the charge for the Cavaliers with 22 points apiece. LeVert posted a full stat line to go along with his point total as he dished out five assists and tallied three steals. Allen added 14 rebounds in the winning effort.

The Cavs were efficient on offense with a 53.1 field goal percentage and a 37.5 three-point percentage. But they ended up losing the rebound battle 38-32. However, Cleveland made up for it by causing 20 Pacer turnovers which ended up sealing the deal for the Cavs.

The victory placed Cleveland solely in second place in the Eastern Conference standings behind the Miami Heat. It is remarkable what this team has been unable to accomplish despite their underwhelming preseason predictions and losing star Collin Sexton early in the season.

But the Cavs will have a daunting task on Saturday as they head to Philadelphia and try to defeat the Sixers on their home floor.

The Sixers are fresh off a victory over the Thunder at home.

Joel Embiid double-doubled his way to a monster performance with 25 points and 19 rebounds along with five blocks. The big man was nearly unstoppable in the game.

Point guard Tyrese Maxey continued to shine with 24 points, while Tobias Harris contributed 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks as well.

The 76er defense was impressive all night long. They held the Thunder to under 90 points while forcing 15 turnovers and blocking ten shots.

The defense effort helped overcome a poor shooting night as Philadelphia shot just 38.7 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from deep.

The Sixers will look for another quality defensive performance against a much stronger opponent in the Cavaliers on Saturday night.

BetUS, MyBookie, and BetNow have yet to release their odds for this game.

The Sixers are the early favorites in this contest. They hold the home-court advantage and have played well as of late. But the Cavs are 8-2 over their past ten contests and hold an impressive 17-12 record away from home.

We should be in store for a competitive matchup between these two East rivals on Saturday.

How To Bet On: Cleveland Cavaliers at Philadelphia 76ers NBA Betting lines

I could easily see the Cavaliers upsetting the spread in this game. They have the fourth-best road record in the NBA, while the 76ers have failed to dominate in their home arena. Philadelphia does hold a winning record at home, but they are just a few games above .500 at Wells Fargo Arena.

So sure, Cleveland can upset the spread. But can they win this game?

Yes. I believe the Cavaliers have what it takes to come into Philly and pull off the upset. The addition of Caris LeVert has only strengthened an already capable rotation.

However, the Cavaliers will hope to have Darius Garland back in the lineup after he missed Friday’s game with a back injury.

NBA:

  • Memphis Grizzlies -6.5
  • Orlando Magic +6.5

Pick: Memphis Grizzlies -6.5

This spread is closer than I would have imagined, so Memphis should have no problem covering.

  • Los Angeles Clippers +7.5
  • Dallas Mavericks -7.5

Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +7.5

I actually believe the Mavericks will win the game, but I like the Clippers to upset the spread. But go ahead and take Dallas with all moneyline bets.

NHL:

  • Columbus Blue Jackets -1.5
  • Montreal Canadiens +1.5

Pick: Columbus Blue Jackets

Go ahead and roll with Columbus on the road in this matchup.

  • Chicago Blackhawks +1.5
  • St. Louis Blues -1.5

Pick: St. Louis Blues -1.5

The Blues present a stable option as a home favorite for bettors.
