Betting Analysis, Picks Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat NBA

The Atlanta Hawks will aim to avoid elimination in Game 5 against the Heat in Miami.

Atlanta made things interesting with a Game 3 victory to make the series 2-1 at the time. But Miami came roaring back with a crucial Game 4 win to take firm control of the series. The Heat are certainly in the driver’s seat now, but the Hawks still have an opportunity.

Game 5 projects to be a thriller. Trae Young is known for coming up big in clutch situations. Even through his struggles Young and the Hawks will likely still place pressure on Miami in this one.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. EST on Tuesday, April 26th, at the FTX Arena in Miami, FL.

Betting Analysis for Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat NBA Betting Analysis, Picks

Atlanta Hawks Betting Stats & Analysis

The Hawks gave themselves an opportunity to climb back into this series following their massive Game 3 victory. They won 111-110 in a thriller, and people began discussing the potential for an upset.

It was a complete team win for the Hawks as well. Trae Young scored 24 points to lead Atlanta, but Bogdan Bogdanovic added 18 off the bench, and De’Andre Hunter also dropped 17 in the contest.

The Hawks needed the next win at home to go back to Miami with an even series. Instead, they lost 110-86 against the Heat in game 4.

Young scored just nine total points on 3-11 shooting from the field. Miami’s defense constantly hounded him and did not allow Young to settle in.

Hunter led the Hawks with 24 points. But nobody else on the team contributed much from an offensive standpoint.

Atlanta shot just over 40 percent from the field on the night. They also turned the ball over 15 times while dishing out just 18 assists. It was a disappointing effort, to say the least.

But the fact is that this series is not over. The Hawks could still upset the odds, but it will take two road wins to do so. For now, Atlanta will focus on taking care of business in Game 5 against the Heat in Miami.

Miami Heat Betting Stats & Analysis

Miami has to be feeling good after their strong Game 4 effort. The Heat dominated a Hawks team that typically plays well at their home arena. Miami came out with a strong defensive game plan that stunned Trae Young and the Hawks.

Jimmy Butler led the way offensively with 36 points and 10 rebounds. Butler also dished out four assists and tallied four steals. His willingness to hustle on defense while producing elite numbers on offense is why Miami believes Butler can lead them to the Finals this season.

The Heat’s offensive numbers were not extremely efficient. But it was their defense that stole the show in Game 4. They limited the Hawks to just 86 points while forcing the aforementioned 15 turnovers.

Almost everybody who took the court for Miami had a positive plus-minus as well. It was a team effort, to say the least.

The Heat can clinch the series on Tuesday night. Miami has Atlanta right where they want them. However, they cannot afford to take the Hawks for granted. Atlanta will have a tremendous opportunity to force a Game 7 if they win on Tuesday.

Miami does not want to fly back to Atlanta. Expect the Heat to do everything in their power to get the job done on Tuesday night.

Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat NBA Betting Odds

The Heat come in as the home favorites riding a wave of momentum following their previous road victory. They are undoubtedly the team to beat in this contest.

Atlanta’s road struggles this season are cause for concern. Their inability to not just win, but cover spreads as well away from home, should make bettors think twice about rolling with the underdog.

But this is the playoffs, and crazy, unforeseen things happen all of the time. So who should you place your money on in this game?

How to Bet On: Atlanta Hawks at Miami Heat NBA – Betting lines

Can the Hawks upset the road odds?

I believe this game will be competitive up until the end of the fourth quarter. The Heat should be able to go on a couple of fourth quarter runs to ultimately give them a convincing advantage. Covering a 7.5 spread is far from easy, but Miami can do it at home.

Look for the Heat to take care of business and advance to the next round on Tuesday.
