Los Angeles Kings vs. St. Louis Blues Betting Preview
The Los Angeles Kings will stay in St. Louis and take on the Blues this evening. The puck drop for this game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. eastern from the Enterprise Center.
The Kings are in a bad spot, losing four in a row and having to take on the Blues, who they just played Saturday night and lost 3-7. St. Louis is rolling, however, coming into tonight’s contest as the best offensive team in hockey.

Betting Odds & Lines

Getting Things Back on Track
The Los Angeles Kings are in a pretty tough place at this point to start their season. Opening up their season, scoring six goals, the Kings had to have thought their offense was in a great place. Unfortunately, since that opening game, the Kings have only scored eight goals in their last four games.
The Kings have to try and get more traffic on Binnington tonight, or it will be another long night for this offense.
Anze Kopitar has been the start of the Kings offense to start the season. He has scored six goals and assisted on three others, to give him a team-leading nine points. Outside of Kopitar, the Kings have just Dustin Brown, who has scored more than one goal this season. He is currently in third on the team in point with five points.
Keeping the Momentum in St. Louis
Saturday night was the home opener for the Blues. This was also the first time they unveiled the new idea that they would have the fans sing that National Anthem.
While this may seem like a small thing, there was something about it that was electric, and it felt like that electricity went straight into the Blues players. The Blues were able to record seven goals, with four of them coming on the power-play.
The Blues have some young talent mixed in with veterans, which makes for great hockey. One of the young guns, Jordan Kyrou, is leading the team with eight points, scoring two goals, and assisting on six others. Right behind him, the veteran David Perron, who has seven points, with five goals and two assists. The Blues have 16 players who have double-digit point totals.
The Goalie Comparison
The Kings should send Jonathan Quick out tonight to take on the Blues. Calvin Petersen played the whole game Saturday, and the Blues were on him the whole game. While Quick has not quite started the season as well as he would want to, 0-1-1 record, he has not had a whole lot of offense to back him up.
Binnington is a perfect 4-0 to start his 2021 campaign. He is giving up 2.75 goals a game, which is right around league average. Binnington, who won the Stanley Cup in 2019, seems to have found something this year, as he has played solid hockey and made some huge stops when his team has needed him to.
The Picks
As assumed, the Blues are heavy favorites in this game. The Kings have yet to win a road game and just got crushed by the Blues two nights ago.
While the Blues’ offense may eventually slow down, they have proven they can score at any moment and in bunches. This group seems to have top-notch chemistry to go along with skilled players.
When making your online NHL picks, take the St. Louis Blues moneyline and over 5½ goals.
