Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview (Sun)
We have a red-hot matchup on Sunday Night Football here in Week 2 of the NFL season. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs head to Baltimore to square off with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
Mahomes led the Chiefs to a Week 1 victory late against the Browns after a Baker Mayfield turnover. The Chiefs have been kryptonite since Lamar Jackson took over as the Ravens’ starting quarterback. Jackson is 30-5 in the regular season against teams not named the Chiefs, but is 0-3 against KC.
Kansas City picked up right where they left off in 2020 in NFL Week 1. After a slow start, they looked like themselves in the second half and made a comeback to beat the Browns. The Ravens lost their NFL Week 1 matchup against the Raiders in overtime on Monday Night Football, one of the more exciting NFL Week 1 finishes.
The Ravens are 3.5-point underdogs at home in Week 2. The kickoff is set for 8:20 EST on Sunday and will be nationally broadcast on NBC.

Chiefs Light it Up Late
The Chiefs started NFL Week 1 off a bit slower than we are used to, but were able to pick it up late and score a victory in regulation. Patrick Mahomes played like his usual self completing 75% of his 36 pass attempts for 337 yards and 3 touchdowns with zero interceptions.
His favorite two targets remain Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, and they both had solid games in Week 1. Hill was more than solid with 201 yards from scrimmage. 197 of them coming through the air. Kelce had 76 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on the day.
The Chiefs defense had a rough first half but was able to figure it out later in the game. The Browns finished the game with 60 more yards from scrimmage than the Chiefs had at 457 in the game. The Chiefs D was able to perform well on third downs all day though. Cleveland only converted 2 of 7 third-down attempts.
Jackson’s Kryptonite
Lamar just can’t seem to get the job done against the Chiefs, but will attempt to get the job done this Sunday. Jackson had a solid Week 1 outing, leading the Ravens’ offense to 406 total yards. Unfortunately, the Raiders totaled 491 yards of total offense and took home an overtime win.
Jackson completed 63.3% of his passes for 235 yards and a touchdown. Jackson also led the team in rushing yards with 86 on 12 attempts. Latavious Murray rushed for only 28 yards on 10 carries but was able to put one in for 6.
Newcomer Sammy Watkins led the team in targets and yards with 8 and 96. A brilliant Ravens debut for the 8-year veteran. The Ravens need a lot more of Watkins and Jackson hooking up to keep up with a solid AFC North this season.
Don’t Bet Against Mahomes
According to BetOnline, the Chiefs are 3.5 point favorites on the road in Week 2. The game total is set at 54.5 points and the Ravens are at +170 on the Moneyline. Solid Moneyline odds for the home team, but it doesn’t matter.
There is o way to justify betting against Pat Mahomes II and the Chiefs. They showed during Week 1 that they are just as capable of scoring as they have been for the past few seasons. In a high-scoring matchup, the Chiefs win and easily cover the 3.5-point spread.
Take the Chiefs -3.5 on the road and grab a win on Sunday Night Football.
