Dallas brings more than just offense to the table
When taking a look at the Dallas Cowboys, most see a great offense. However, if you look deeper, you’ll find a defense that allows just 23.4 points per game. Considering all the high-powered offenses the NFL has, 23 points isn’t bad. The best part about the defense is how well it compliments the offense. Mac Jones and the Patriots face a tough test
Although the Patriots are coming off of a win, it was over the Houston Texans. The last time they faced someone such as Dallas was when they took on Tampa Bay. The Patriots did well to slow down the Tampa offense, and they’ll need to do the same against Dallas. If they can’t stop Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, they’ll lose this game easily.
The good news is they have one of the best coaches in the league. With Belichick on their side, the Patriots could find a way to keep this game close. The question is, will they be able to keep it close enough to cover the spread. The Patriots are 2-3 ATS but are 1-0 ATS as an underdog.
