Betting Backdrops Per Team

 Chicago Bears Overview:

The Bears‘ overall recent string of play hasn’t been good, with the exception of their win against New England.

However, they had previously lost to the Giants, Vikings, and Commanders. They are still a team developing young players. But they proved last week that they feature upset potential.

  • The Chicago Bears are 3-3-1 against the spread this year.
  • The Bears are 2-2 against the spread when playing on the road.
  • The Bears are 3-3 against the spread when playing as an underdog.
  • Chicago is 2-2 against the spread as an away underdog this season.

QB Justin Fields went 13-21 through the air with 179 passing yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ recent win. Fields added an impressive 82 yards on the ground.

David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert both added an even 62 rushing yards each. Chicago’s ground game unquestionably led them to their win.

The Bears’ defense also tallied three interceptions, one against Mac Jones and two against Bailey Zappe.

The Bears’ offense is ranked 24th in points per game, 26th in total yards per game, 32nd in passing yards per game, first in rushing yards per game, and 28th in time of possession per game.

Chicago’s offense is one of the most unbalanced in the league. On the one hand, they rank dead last in passing yards. On the other hand, they lead the NFL in rushing yards. If they had a bit more consistency in the passing game, they could produce a decent all-around offense.

Defensively, they are seventh in points allowed per game, 12th in total yards allowed per game, third in passing yards allowed per game, 29th in rushing yards allowed per game, 21st in sacks, and third in interceptions.

The Bears’ defense and rushing attacks are their strong suits. Their defense will need to play at a top-notch level against the Cowboys on Sunday if they want to pull off the upset.

 Dallas Cowboys Overview:

The Cowboys are fresh off of a strong effort against the Lions that saw them cruise to a win. Dak Prescott made his return from injury, and Dallas feels good about their current position.

Dallas will look to keep playing well with a victory in this affair against Chicago.

  • The Dallas Cowboys are 5-2 against the spread this year.
  • The Cowboys are 3-1 against the spread when playing at home.
  • The Cowboys are 2-0 against the spread when playing as a favorite.
  • Dallas is 2-0 against the spread as a home underdog this season.

Dak Prescott looked sharp in his return. He went 19-15 through the air with a TD and over 200 passing yards.

Tony Pollard rushed for 83 yards to pace the Cowboys. Ezekiel Elliott recorded 57 rushing yards to go along with a pair of touchdowns.

The Cowboys are now 22nd in points per game, 29th in total yards per game, 27th in passing yards per game, 14th in rushing yards per game, and 31st in time of possession per game.

The Cowboys’ offense hasn’t been great in 2022. But they should begin to develop some rhythm with Prescott back under center.

Dallas’ defense has stolen the show this year. They are second in points allowed per game, sixth in total yards allowed per game, fourth in passing yards against per game, 20th in rushing yards against per game, first in sacks, and seventh in interceptions.

The Cowboys are establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the league. Dallas’ ability to score timely points while locking things down on defense makes them a legitimate threat.

The Cowboys are not a perfect team. Ezekiel Elliott is currently battling injury issues, and the team is hoping he will be okay. Nevertheless, Dallas has a strong chance of making a deep playoff run.

For now, they will try to take care of business in this contest.

Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys: Odds & Picks

Odds for this Matchup:

TeamsMoneylineTotalRun Line (If the case)
Chicago Bears+340O/42+9.5
Dallas Cowboys-420U/42-9.5

The Cowboys are listed as heavy favorites but cannot afford to take Chicago for granted. The Bears will enter this game believing they have a chance to upset the spread given what happened in New England last weekend.

Which team should you place your money on? Can the Bears pull off another upset or will the Cowboys get the job done?

Chicago’s upset appeal is tempting. However, betting against the Cowboys is a risky proposition. Dallas should be able to earn the home win in a fairly convincing fashion.

Go ahead and roll with the Dallas Cowboys in this Sunday affair.
