Ravens at Raiders Betting Preview
The Ravens and Raiders will finish out an exciting opening week in the NFL with a Monday Night Football showdown. Only this year, there isn’t a doubleheader, but just one game.
Fans will not need to stay up until past 1:00 AM ET this time but until around 11:30.
Baltimore is without three running backs for the entirety of the year now because injuries are the absolute worst thing in the world. Ty’Son Williams will likely get the start in this one, with the four new signees likely all competing for reps as well. It is a situation unlike any ever seen before, but the team has to keep moving forward as they seek another big year.
For Vegas, it was a disappointing end to 2020. They were 6-4, and then everything went absolutely terrible for them. This has happened in consecutive years, and if they don’t turn it around, Jon Gruden might be on the outs. There is a lot of pressure on them to have results this year, so hopefully, they do.

Ravens Seek 1-0 Start
It does not matter who is in their backfield. Baltimore has Lamar Jackson, and that is the only thing that matters. He is ready to prove to the doubters that the loss to Buffalo is in the past. The team did beat the Titans and advance for the first time in the Jackson era.
They lost all their RB’s but signed four new ones. Ty’Son Williams ran for 1,100 yards across four years at three schools but is ready for a starring role. The team also brought in Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell, Latavius Murray, and Trenton Cannon. The pecking order among all of them is very much to be determined.
But this is a team with lofty goals. They want to win a Super Bowl. They have perhaps the most electric QB in the game and no doubt the hardest one to tackle. If the receivers are healthy and Jackson can sling it, they can do it.
Raiders Look for 1-0 Beginning
Derek Carr is not likely to be benched this year. But the game where he got hurt in 2020 and Marcus Mariota got reps was telling. He is also capable of running the show, and if things don’t go well, he may well be inserted. What else does this team have to lose? Nothing. That’s what.
With the Chiefs pretty much a lock to win the AFC West, Las Vegas has to make it a goal to be #2. They have a pesky Broncos team with an electric defense and unique offense in their way. And the Chargers have endless weapons for Justin Herbert, who is ready to dominate in his sophomore year.
They added Kenyan Drake, giving them another big weapon out of the backfield. The WR room is pretty underwhelming, so someone will need to show flashes. If they can get Henry Ruggs III consistent deep targets, perhaps they can sneak past a dangerous Ravens team in game one.
Ravens Win!
Ty’Son Williams will look comfortable in his debut in the backfield, while Lamar runs for 125 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Ravens will win and cover.
