There was simply no answer in containing a balanced Denver offense that had five players score at least 19 points. The Nuggets shot over 54 percent from the field and 41 percent from the three-point range. All of this equated to 132 points and a win.
New York will have an even more daunting challenge trying to contain the Warriors’ potent offense on Thursday at Chase Center.

Golden State finally lost a game after winning nine straight.
But the Jazz played a tremendous game, and credit must be given where it is due. They held Golden State to under 85 points in this game which is something we have rarely seen this season.
Jordan Poole led the Warriors with 18 points. Stephen Curry added 16 points and seven rebounds. But Golden State endured a very tough shooting night overall.
They shot just 35.9 percent from the field. They were actually better from deep shooting 37.2 percent from beyond the arc. So while they were able to hit from deep, the Warriors were unable to find any consistency inside the key.
Although Golden State only turned the ball over 11 times, they also only handed out 17 team assists. They are usually one of the better assist teams in the league, so their underwhelming number of dimes was a factor in the poor offensive showing.
But the Warriors are still 9-1 over their past ten games, and there is no reason why they will not be able to take care of business against the laboring Knicks on Thursday at home.
