Rizzo brings the championship pedigree over from the 2016 Cubs season and will only get better in his new uniform. Aaron Judge has mostly stayed healthy and is producing at a quality level.

The only guy with over 100 hits is Jorge Polanco, who has been a very good hitter all season. If only the other guys in the lineup could match what he brings. Miguel Sano is still crushing home runs, but he isn’t picking up enough total hits. The lineup certainly has to be retooled.
John Gant Slated for First Start
After seven relief appearances to open his season, John Gant will make his first start of 2021. He has gone just 8 2/3 innings over his outings, posting a 4.15 ERA.
He will likely serve as more of an opener than a starter, logging a few innings out of the gate.
Yanks Look to Stay Hot
The Rays are atop the AL East still, and catching them remains in the cards for the Yankees. They have been very good over the last few months, turning around a horrible start and possibly giving the team reason to keep Aaron Boone at the helm beyond this season.
Judge and Giancarlo Stanton have been hammering the ball, and a change in the reliever roles has definitely helped everybody. They did lose the Field of Dreams game on a walk-off but have rebounded from that defeat nicely.
Another win here would be just what they need, and then three more this weekend.

Through his first 23 appearances, Jameson Taillon has posted a 3.89 ERA across 118 innings. He has struck out 116 batters while walking 35, showing decent control out there.
It’s been nice to see him healthy and having a strong season for his club.
