Understanding Europa League Schedule
For each phase, you’ll find different Europa League odds, and they depend on the teams you want to bet on. The competition starts with the group stages, where 32 teams would compete for a spot in the knockout round. However, only 16 would make it out of the group rounds, but the 3rd-placed teams will be demoted to the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Once the group stages are done, eight teams from the champions league will join the 16, and the 24 teams will engage in a knockout battle to determine who will be crowned the UEL champions. A slight difference is that the eight top teams from the group phase get automatic qualification to the round of 16.
Therefore, the other 16 teams (eight from the UCL and the eight second-placed teams from the UEL) will face off in the playoff round. The best eight from that round will join the others already in the round of 16. After that, teams will play two legs for each round from the round of 16 to the semi-finals. And the last two teams will play at a neutral location to get the UEL champion for the season.
