Mr. Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorback himself, Jerry Jones, hosts these two teams in the palace that is AT&T Stadium on an annual basis. This game wasn’t one that many had circled on the College Football schedule, but Arkansas has started the season on a hot streak making this a much more intriguing matchup.
Both teams come in undefeated with different outlooks on how the season has started so far, and the result of this game should be telling in terms of how the SEC West plays out.

Arkansas Razorbacks Team Preview
The Hogs came into the season with the number one strength of schedule in all of college football. The schedule was guaranteed to be a brute playing in the SEC West, but adding in Texas out of conference and Georgia from the SEC East, and you get the hardest schedule in the country. Sam Pittmann’s squad showed heart last year during a rough first season, but the lumps the team took a year ago look to be paying off this year.
KJ Jefferson has provided the Razorbacks with a playmaker at the quarterback position that has been desperately missed for some time. He’s combined for six total touchdowns in Arkansas’ first three games and has played a big part in the offense averaging over six yards per rush.
Preseason All-SEC wide receiver Treylon Burks hasn’t had the fastest start to the season but still leads the team in receptions and yards and presents a serious threat on any play.
Defensively the Razorbacks have been solid and have given teams fits in the run game while also forcing turnovers twice as often as the offense is giving it away. The opportunistic defense needs to take advantage of the Aggies’ backup quarterback.
Texas A&M Aggies Team Preview
The Aggies came off a big season in 2020, finishing the year with only one loss to eventual national champion Alabama. The hype for Jimbo Fisher’s team has never been higher as the team came into the season ranked top 10 and have started undefeated.
The season hasn’t come without hiccups, though, as starting quarterback Haynes King suffered a break in his leg in Week 2 against Colorado. The Aggies narrowly escaped that game behind backup Zach Calzada and a fantastic defensive performance. The offense has spread the love to multiple sources, with four receivers over 100 yards on the season and two running backs averaging close to seven yards per carry.
The defense has been the bright spot of the team thus far, led by defensive end DeMarvin Leal and safety Leon O’Neal. The Aggies have currently allowed only two touchdowns on the year and are harassing opposing quarterbacks at an alarming rate with ten sacks and four interceptions.
Betting Preview
If we take a look at the betting odds and betting lines, we can that Bovada and BetOnline each have this game favoring the Aggies by five points. Texas A&M is 2-1 against the spread on the year, failing to cover the 17.5-point spread against Colorado in the game in which Haynes King was injured. The over/under total points betting line on the game is set at 47 on both sportsbooks. The Aggies have hit the under in each of their three games this season in big part, thanks to their defense.
Conversely, the Hogs have hit the over in all three games and currently sit at 3-0 against the spread. The game is being played at a neutral site, so no home-field advantage is to be gained by either team, even though the game technically counts as a home matchup for the Hogs. Look for this game to be low-scoring and for Arkansas to hang around and maybe pull off the upset.
