Meanwhile, the Mets have seen their bats fall silent again after a nice run in late August and early September. They have scored just three total runs in back-to-back losses and have scored three runs or less in three of their last four games. However, the Mets had been scorching hot right before their last two games, so perhaps they can find a way to get back on track quickly.

Rookie Tylor Megill will make his Subway Series debut on Friday. He’s been a pleasant surprise for the starting rotation this year, going 2-4 with a 4.20 ERA over 14 starts.
